LA is not only famous for its obvious attractions, but it’s also known for many other things. These include the LA County Fair and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, (LACMA), and the Getty Center. The Venice Beach Boardwalk is located here, as well as Skid Row.
Venice Beach Boardwalk
Located in Los Angeles, Venice Beach is a cosmopolitan community with a beachfront boardwalk. Venice’s diverse shops, restaurants, art galleries, and cafes are a delight for visitors. The boardwalk is also home to street performers and the Venice Farmers Market, which is held every Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Venice Beach is a favorite location for film productions. Many movie stars have made their way to Venice. These are the home of some of the most popular pickup basketball games in America. Venice’s boardwalk also offers a fishing pier, as well as two children’s play areas.
Venice Beach Recreation Center is another attraction that can be found in Venice. It offers a wide range of activities. Visitors can also enjoy handball and paddle tennis.
Getty Center

Collections at the Getty Center include Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Cezanne. The museum also holds important collections of illuminated manuscripts. These books are written by hand and hand decorated. These books are on display at the Museum’s Plaza Level.
Getty Center is a must see for anyone who wants to take a closer look at art. Many pavilions are available as well as outdoor sculptures. Particularly impressive is the collection of Jean-Paul Cezanne’s works.
There are many dining options at the Getty Center. Getty Cafe offers lunch, snacks, and coffee. If you don’t have time to dine, you can also buy fruit or sweets from the cafe. On weekends, afternoon tea is offered at the Getty Center Cafe.
The Getty Center’s publication on architecture is the best. The book contains fifty stunning color photographs and helpful captions. It also contains a five page composite longitudinal section and thirty pages of drawings.
LACMA
Located in Los Angeles, CA, LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States. The museum’s collection includes works by Rembrandt, Pablo Picasso, and many other well-known artists. Both children and adults can enjoy a variety of educational programs and exhibitions.
The museum is home to a number of sculptures, including the Levitated Mass, by Michael Heizer, which hangs above a 456-foot concrete pathway. This artwork has become one of the museum’s most photographed attractions.

The neighborhood has a history that goes back to the 1860s, when the railroads turned the downtown area into a major hub. Railroads constructed freight depots along the Los Angeles River. They chose a route that was easy to lay tracks.
It was also used as a stopping point for soldiers on their way into World War II and the Great Depression. During the Korean War, Los Angeles was the return city for tens of thousands of soldiers. Some of these soldiers suffered from PTSD and addiction.
In the 1930s, the area began to transition from a temporary underclass to a permanent one. Agricultural workers and transitory workers needed places to live. These workers needed to be served by small hotels and other facilities in the vicinity of train stations.
The neighborhood is known for its tent cities, but is also home to an array of improvised living structures. Some residents sleep on used mattresses and train tickets. They also use drugs. Fentanyl and heroin are the most popular drugs. Crystal meth is also distributed by local gangs. It quickly surpasses crack as the most popular drug.
There are many nonprofits, charities and support systems for the homeless. According to Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority (LAHSA), 41,290 homeless people reside in the city. Some homeless people have recently been released from jail and need assistance. Others have been diagnosed as having psychotic disorders.

Los Angeles County Fair
The LA County Fair, located in Fairplex (a suburb of Los Angeles), has a rich historical background. It is the largest event in September in the Los Angeles area. You can enjoy live music, a carnival and lots of food and beverages.
